Nelements Help
Nelements Installation
- Make sure you have at least the DirectX 9.0c runtime AND .NET 2.0
- Run NelementsSetup.msi
- Once setup is complete, run 'Prepare Nelements' from the Start menu shortcut in the Nelements folder
- Enter the password and press the 'enter' key
- Start Nelements by clicking on 'Start Nelements' in the Start menu.

Keyboard controls:
- the arrow keys control movement within a nelements scene
- the 'A' and 'Z' keys control the up and down movement of the camera
- the 'delete' key deletes a selected nelement
- the 'spacebar' resets the camera to the default view
- the 'S' key saves the current nelement into an xml file
- pressing 'Ctrl-S' saves all under the root nelement
- the 'L' key loads nelement data from an xml file that you select
- press 'O' to navigate Out all the way to the root nelement
- press 'N' to add a new nelement
- press 'P' to see properties of a selected nelement where you can change its color,shape, or image.
- press 'T' to show the selected nelement's (or the current nelement's) text...then you can edit that from there and press 'ok'
- select a nelement and press 'F' to flesh it out OR in (show sub-nelements)
To make a link between two nelements:
- press the 'Ctrl' key and drag a line (with the left mouse button pressed down) starting from the 1st nelement and ending at the 2nd nelement and let go of the mouse button
- a link should show up between those two nelements
To delete a link:
- select link by clicking on the first part of the link
- press the 'delete' key on the keyboard and say 'yes' to the confirmation
To rename a link:
- select link by clicking on the first part of the link
- press the 'R' key on the keyboard and give a new name and press 'ok'
To rename a nelement:
- select a nelement by clicking on it once
- press the 'R' key
- enter a new name for the nelement and press 'Enter'
To zoom to a nelement:
- select a nelement by clicking on it
- press 'shift' and 'Z'
